For 2013 the TransRockies Challenge will feature two, single stage tours that will offer you the opportunity to experience the TransRockies Challenge in a non-competitive format. If you’ve ever wondered if the TRC is for you, or if you just want to come back for a day, TransFondo Fernie and TransFondo Kananaskis single stage tours will give you a ‘taste’ of what the TRC is all about: exceptional singletrack riding in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.
TR3 – 3 Days Solo – Stages 1-3
July 27-29, 2013
We invented the 3-day stage race format, and now we’ve perfected it with three amazing days in the mountain biking mecca of Fernie, BC. Catering to new stage racers and gnarled veterans alike, TR3 focuses on great singletrack trails and lots of variety. Distances are moderate at an average of about 30 km per day, but with the big climbs and descents that are characteristic of Fernie’s best trails. All this comes with the support of Fernie’s great eateries and lodging, ready to offer you plenty of comfort and convenience at the end of a great day of riding.
TR4 – 4 Days Solo – Stages 4-7
July 30 – August 2, 2013
A step up in distance and vertical, the TR4 retains the wilderness camp aspect that is a big part of TransRockies. The TR4 route has been designed to showcase the best biking trails in Kananaskis Country, a huge playground that lies in the Canadian Rockies between Calgary and Banff, Alberta. The route features trails that have been favourite local rides for decades, plus plenty of trails that have been constructed in recent years by mountain bikers, for mountain bikers. Fully supported tent camps at Little Elbow Campground and Rafter Six Ranch bring the TransRockies community together with communal meals and opportunities to relax in some of the most beautiful landscapes on earth.
TR7 – 7 Days in Teams of Two or SOLO (2013) – Stages 1-7
July 27 – August 2, 2013
The original epic. 7 days of racing for teams of two or, new for 2013, SOLO RIDERS that set the standard for mountain bike stage racing in North America. Considered one of the world’s great mounntain bike races alongside legendary events like the Transalp, Cape Epic and La Ruta, TransRockies draws an international field from over 20 nations every year. Since the first TransRockies in 2002, the route has been largely transformed to eliminate road and unrideable sections. Every stage will put a smile on your face, and give you more spectacular singletrack than ever before. Tough? You bet its tough. With 320km and over 12,000 m of climbing, its definitely challenging, but with our best-in-class participant support on and off the trail, we’ll give you everything you need to keep those pedals turning, and by the end of the week, you might just be one of many who are ready to turn right around and ride back to Fernie!

TR7 $ 350 + GST (per person) / includes finishers banquet

TR4 $199 + GST (per person) / includes finishers banquet
