I just wanted to take the oppurtunity to give everyone an update on Jamies condition after his seriuos injury on day four. As most of you know while we were prerunning the course ahead of the racers on day four Jamie hit a ditch and flipped his bike breaking his right femur in the process. Through the efforts of our medical team and several competitors we had Jamie flown out ASAP. He was eventually transfered to Calgary where he stayed for 13 days, 3 of which where in Intensive care after some complications.

However i am happy to say that Jamie is home now in Canmore making a recovery, though he has a long road before he can return to a normal life he has no regrets for doing what he loves. ( riding his bike) He wants everyone to know that he enjoyed being out there with you.

I wanted to let everyone know that you raised over $2200 to help Jamie get by until he can return to work, he is self employed in the construction trade and will be away from work for some time. I took the money to him today and he was overwelmed by your generosity to say the least. I always knew that the biking community was made up of good people and you certainly proved that, on behalf of Jamie and myself thank you.
