Hi, just a quick question to The Bike Shop concerning your intentions on carrying parts for 2005...
I was just wondering if you were intending on carrying some of the following parts during next years TR? So that I can decide if it's necessary for me to bring my own spares or not? And also, are these the type of parts that you will only have 1 spare with you (in other words is there a great risk of you running out?). Thanks in advance for your help! You guys are great to be doing the TR support!!!!!
Sram x9 or XO rear derailers
Shimano XT or XTR chains
XTR derailer cables
XTR chain rings
XT or XTR cassettes?
Spare tires of any kind?
Thanks again! _________________ CODMAN MCM#101

We will have a supply of everthing that you have listed. Things like chains we will have a supply in the hundreds. on the lower end of the scale the Sram deraileurs we will have 3 or 4 and will get more over night if they are required.

|
|
| I am new to this kind of thing and can swap cassettes, chains, adjust brakes etc. I have never installed or adjusted a derailleur, replaced cables, or messed with my cranks. Can the Bike Shop help with all of this or are you there only to look over my shoulder as I turn the wrenches? |

Hi TriCAt
It looks like there will be at least 3 different stores are sending mechanics to help with TR support this year. You can expect 10 - 12 mechanics working every day and night. As well Pedros is suppling tools and stands for 8 DIY work stations. Advice will allways be availabe to help you out. For more complex repairs or if you just don't want to do your own work the stores are available at normal shop rates to work on your bike.

Will the DIY tents have wet and dry lubes, degreaser, and floor pumps for us to use or do I bring it with me? |
