We are trying to arrange a group ride for the Calgary area where people looking for partners have a chance to hook up.

The ride will be on Sat 4 June at the Rona on the corner of Nosehill and Crowchild at 10am.

We will ride the Cochrane loop.

this will be an informal ride so any suggestions will be gladly considered.

I know this is short notice so we may also try to do another ride for Sat 11 June. Reply if you will come for the Sat 4th ride and also reply if there is any interest for the following Sat 11 June.

So far there are two guys riding on Sat 4th (hope to see more)

Hey Chris,

Great idea and I will try to join up if you are still planning to ride Saturday. I was going to suggest a loop that I've been doing in town while waiting for the mountain trails to shape up - it uses city pathways to link Bowmont Park, 12 mile Coulee, Nose Hill, and Edworthy. However with the rain today and tomorrow, the right choice is going to be to stay on pavement.

We are scheduling a ride for Sunday, June 5 and it will be to do the infamous TR Stage 4 from Etherington to Sandy McNabb. This stage has been muddy 2 of the past 3 years in the last 12 km. If dry a great ride and a real bear if muddy. I have done the TR 3X and a few members of the group have done it twice. We have 3 guys doing the ride with another 4 guys doing a different ride in the same area. We will hookup after the rides to compare notes. Although this may not help find a partner it is a good ride to do in helping you prepare for the race. Drop me a line if you want to join us. We go Rain or Shine!! and be prepared for a long day.

I live out towards Turner Valley and, based on the MUD around here from the last few days' rain (and still raining) looks like you will be in for CLASSIC stage 4 conditions. Plan on a long day.

We have already altered our ride from 63km to about 45 because of the expected conditions around Turner Valley. We are begining the ride at the Grass Pass trailhead at 8am and then doing Wileman, Sullivan, High Rock Ridge to the Coal Creek/Wolf Creek intersection where we will turn west on Coal Creek to do the the hike a bike to the top of Junction Mountain Fire Lookout. We will then ride the screamer 8km down to Dyson Creek to do the crossing on the way to the Indian Oils Parking Lot. We will avoid the bog known as Wolf Creek Trail!! It will still be tough and we still expect a long muddy/wet day . Thanks for your input as it is much appreciated.



We still have 3 riders confirmed for this ride with another 6 showing a strong interest despite the expected conditions, with another 4 riders confirmed for the start of the other ride at Indian Oils Parking lot for 9am.



We welcome anybody who wants to join the ride
